James Moriarty Artist Biography

I have always been an advocate for and participant in the arts. The arts have provided me with personal motivation and have influenced how I make my living. I am the owner of Moriarty Media, a multi-media production company in Indianapolis Indiana.  In 2006, I created a not-for-profit corporation, called IndyBANG!, Indy’s Business Arts Networking Get-togethers, aimed at bringing business and the arts together in Indianapolis through events such as monthly cultural luncheons, an annual business and arts themed networking party, and an online business arts web portal at IndyBANG.org.

I take my BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where I majored in graphic design, photography and experimental film-making. I have taken those artistic skills and turned them into my life’s work by continually advancing my knowledge of the technology required to produce digital multi-media. In the role of multi-media producer, I have created digital multi-media for Airstream, Inc., The Indianapolis Children’s Museum, Riley Child Development Center, IU Department of Philanthropy, WFYI, White Lies, Riley Community Education and Child Advocacy,  The Village Experience, Rotary, Gennesaret Free Clinics, Indiana DOE – IYFA, Circle City Chamber Orchestra, Phoenix Theatre, Shadow Ape Theatre, Blue Monkey Sideshow, Dance Kaleidoscope, Bottoms Up! Burlesque, Naptown Roller Girls, Born Again Floozies, Indie 500 Records, the Pop Machine, and other local bands and arts organizations.
